Milwaukee Farmers Markets
Agriculture is a huge part of life in Wisconsin, from our famous dairy to cranberries, corn, potatoes and produce of all kinds. Experience the bounties of local area farms at farmers markets all summer long. Stroll through vibrant stalls bursting with farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers. Experience the farm-to-table ethos firsthand as you connect with the community and savor the taste of Milwaukee's agricultural heritage.
Established in 1919, the West Allis Farmers Market is the area’s oldest and largest farmers’ market. This market is especially focused on produce, although vendors sell prepared foods, flowers, meats, and more as well. Located just steps from Lake Michigan in South Shore Park is the South Shore Farmers Market. Featuring farmers and local food producers, this market also has live music during market hours each Saturday morning June through October. Fondy Farmers Market is one of Milwaukee's most diverse markets, offering early spring markets starting in May with late season markets in November. Held in a parking lot near Wauwatosa’s charming village center, the Tosa Farmers Market is a popular Saturday morning stop June through October. In addition to local farmers and makers, the market offers free yoga classes, music, cooking demos, and more. If you want a market in the heart of downtown, visit the Cathedral Square Market, held Sunday mornings from June through September. Enjoy free fitness classes in the park to start off each market before browsing the stalls of farmers, craftspeople, bakers and more.
